Toys R Us announced that 180 Stores nationwide are closing as the company tries to restructure $5 billion in debt. Dozens of the locations are in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Four of those stores are in Connecticut, 12 in New Jersey
and 14 in New York, including the store's Union Square location.
The Wayne, New Jersey-based retailer filed for bankruptcy
last September. Going out of business sales will start next month.
Toys R Us filed for bankruptcy last September burdened by
a big debt load and a shift to online shopping by consumers.
